What were your experiences as an athlete before starting CF? Before I began CrossFit I had done the typical gym thing, treadmill, elliptical, and the occasional fitness class. Aside from that I had never really done anything athletic.
What was your first visit to CFR like? My first visit to CrossFit Rekkr was after I had just moved to Greenville and was actually considering quitting CrossFit. I realized I needed to at least try and continue. Casey made me feel very welcomed and it kinda felt like home.
What is your favorite WOD/workout/movement? My favorite movement is overhead squats and tire flips
What was your biggest CrossFit fear and how did you overcome it? Honesty it was being the bigger girl in the box and being worried people would make fun of me. I realized that everyone was on this fitness journey together and that everyone was cheering on everyone else. Also, getting hurt, but I just realized I need to make sure I work on my form and know my stopping point.
What is your favorite cheat meal? Oh…mac and cheese, Mexican, pizza, and I could go on and one.
Were you part of the Open this year? How did it go? Yes, it went well; I pushed myself more than I ever had before.
Have you done any competitions and if so, tell us about it. I have done some competitions and I really enjoy them. I’ve done only team competitions and having to push because someone else is depending on you.
Finish this sentence, “Since starting at CFR, the biggest change is…..” my confidence level, I’ve gotten more comfortable in my own skin and pushed myself more than I would have before.
