What were your experiences as an athlete before starting CF?
CrossFit Rekkr is my first real CF gym. I first tried CF in 2008 and ended up hurting myself because I really had no idea what I was doing. I got back into in 2015 while I was deployed. My roommate was a Level 1 coach. Having someone show me the correct way to do CF workouts made a huge difference and I was hooked.
What was your first visit to CFR like?
CFR is great. My first visit was great, everyone was very inviting.
What is your favorite WOD/workout/movement?
My favorite movement is the power clean.
What was your biggest CrossFit fear and how did you overcome it?
Box jumps… I had about 4 fails in less than 6 months. I had to just make myself do them.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Were you part of the Open this year? How did it go?
I did participate in the open. It was a lot of fun and a great experience.
Have you done any competitions and if so, tell us about it.
The Open was my first and only competition.
